The World Inequality Lab gathers social scientists committed to helping everyone understand the drivers of inequality worldwide through evidence-based research.
The WIL conducts research on multiple dimensions of inequality, both across and within countries, to enrich public debate. It also manages the World Inequality Database (WID), the largest open-access resource documenting the historical evolution of economic inequality.
The World Inequality Lab and the World Inequality Database are funded by public and non-profit institutions.
